Artist Statement
I employ a unique approach to address challenges in graphic & creative design. It draws from both imagination & technical thinking. A personal passion to animate liminal worlds where reality blurs with fantasy spawns the ideas from which my illustrations grow. I then work to create a specific, realistic, & technically precise representation of these subjects. I particularly enjoy bringing ideas from that fantastic world back to our everyday life to portray more familiar forms. While I design & illustrate primarily in the digital realm, nearly all of my work starts with a traditional graphite or ink sketch. Building from this grounding in physical media I strive to apply unique vision and technique to shape my work & technical skill to digitally polish it.
